The NAESP Vice President Election is open from Feb. 23 – March 5, 2021.

On Feb. 23, eligible voters will receive an email with a customized link to cast their vote.

The process is simple:

VOTE

  1. Check your email on Feb. 23 for the link to your online ballot.
  2. Click on the link and vote for the next NAESP Vice President. No username or login is required.
  3. You will receive a confirmation email after you have voted.

Attention: Important Voting Procedures

Members should take the following steps to ensure sure you receive your ballot on Feb. 23:

  • Add noreply@directvote.net to your email contacts and safe senders list. Your election ballot will be sent from this address on Feb. 23
  • Make sure your email is current with NAESP. If not, please contact NAESP toll-free at (800) 386-2377 or membership@naesp.org
  • Check your email on Feb. 23 for the link to your online ballot (no username or password will be required).

Who's Eligible to Vote?

Member types eligible to vote: Active Principal, Active Assistant Principal, Institutional Active, and Emeritus. Member types not eligible to vote: Aspiring, Associate, International Associate and Institutional Subscription.

How do I access the election ballot?

The election URL is located within the invitation to vote email sent to eligible voters on February 23, 2021. You can us the link within the email to access the ballot.

Who do I contact if I did not receive the invitation to vote email?

If you did not receive an email on February 23 to cast your vote in the 2021 NAESP Vice President Election, first check your spam or junk inbox, as the invitation email could have been blocked.

What do I do if I am having problems voting?

NAESP has partnered with Survey & Ballot Systems, an independent election management service based in Minnesota, to conduct the election. For technical support, please call 866-909-3549 or email support@directvote.net.

How do I know my online ballot has been received?

After submitting your ballot, you will receive an email confirming that it’s been received.

Will I be able to vote from the NAESP website?

No, ballot access is only available via the email sent with the customized embedded link on Feb. 23 or by requesting a paper ballot.

Will NAESP know how I voted?

No. Survey & Ballot Systems, an independent election management service based in Minnesota, is conducting the NAESP 2021 Vice President election. You can be assured that no individual voting records will be known to anyone outside of Survey & Ballot Systems.

Is my vote secure?

Several layers of security are employed to protect the 2021 NAESP Vice President election. The voting website is hosted on a secure server and accessible to authorized members through unique voter logins and passwords. Ballots are transmitted to the data center using Symantec TLS encryption and authentication technology. Voting websites also employ passive and active network and security monitoring services to detect and prevent unauthorized access. Data is stored in a secure data center with controlled, monitored access 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

How can an online election website prevent voting more than once?

Each member’s login information is disabled immediately after submitting their web ballot, preventing them from logging into the voting website again and voting twice.

When does the election close?

The election will close on Friday, March 5, at 11:59 PM EST.

When will election results be available?

Election results are made available following the convening of the Election Audit Board on March 8. NAESP will follow policy 300.5 for the dissemination of the results of the election of the NAESP Vice President.
