Bullying 101 Course Is Online; Earn Credits

Bullying negatively affects a school’s climate and disrupts the learning environment. A bullying prevention distance learning course for school principals, developed by Hazelden Publishing and the NAESP Foundation in partnership with Clemson University, is now available to help you foster a safe learning community. The three-hour course, “Bullying 101 for School Principals: What Principals Should Know and Be Able to Do,” provides evidence-based information about bullying and cyberbullying, best practices in bullying prevention, and details on how administrators can effectively address bullying. Through video, interactive elements, and case studies, researchers at the Institute of Family and Neighborhood Life at Clemson University, who are also co-authors of the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program, present an engaging experience.

By completing this course, you can earn professional development units hours from the comfort of your home or workplace. Professional development unit documentation is available through the NAESP Foundation and possibly through your state affiliate. For more information, contact Ann Henley.
