Save Education Jobs, Speak Up for Kids

Secretary Arne Duncan estimates that as many as 300,000 educators could lose their jobs before the start of the next school year due to drastic deficits in state and local school budgets across the country. Join thousands of your colleagues in calling for Congress to save education jobs!

On Wed., May 26, participate in a toll-free national call-in day to encourage legislators in Congress to support including the Education Jobs Bill in the emergency supplemental appropriations bill. The Education Jobs Bill will provide $23 billion to states to save education jobs.

Here’s How:

  • Call 1-866-608-6355 to contact your Representative in Congress. 

  • You will hear talking points and will be connected to the United States Capitol switchboard—ask for your House member.

  • Tell your Representative to support including funding to save education jobs in the emergency supplemental appropriations bill.
  • Forward this call-in day information to five friends. Ask them to call Congress and to forward this message on to five more friends.
