Watch the 2015 Bammy Awards Live

Awards season this year isn't just to recognize acting excellence on TV and in the movies. That’s why NAESP is delighted to partner with the Academy of Education Arts and Sciences to celebrate the 2015 Bammy Awards, which seek to recognize the outstanding contributions made by those working in and around education. The Bammy Awards recognize outstanding principals, as well as great teachers, superintendents, school nurses, and other caring school staff and community stakeholders. This year's showcase is set to be streamed live on September 26 at 7p.m. ET.

This year's awards will include special presentations to Bill Nye, Sesame Street, and Alan November for their exceptional contributions to the education field. The cross-discipline showcase will also honor 23 education professionals, para-professionals and education support staff from diverse communities across the education village. For the first time, the Bammy Awards will be virtual and interactive and will include both back stories on nominees and video shout-outs. NAESP member and 2014 National Distinguished Principal Tony Sinanis will host the showcase with Joe Sanfelippo.

One of the highlights of the evening will be live remote broadcasts from Bammy Awards viewing parties around the nation. The showcase will also include a pre-show countdown to the Bammy Awards and post-show interviews with this year's new Bammy Award laureates. The highest honor the Academy presents, the first and only gold Bammy Award, will also be introduced.
