Celebrate Digital Learning on March 13

Join NAESP and thousands of educators across the country to celebrate Digital Learning Day on Friday, March 13. Digital Learning Day, created by the Alliance for Excellent Education and supported by dozens of education organizations, is a nationwide celebration of innovative teaching and learning through technology that engages students and provides them with a rich, personalized, educational experience.

Check out Digital Learning Day’s interactive map to see how other schools are putting technology to work. In one classroom in California, for instance, kindergarteners will create a collaborative digital story that will be shared on their website and through Facebook. Another school in New Jersey will be hosting a schoolwide assembly that will focus on how technology has been used by the school in the past year, and new ways to incorporate it into future learning. Join these schools and many others by adding your celebration to the map.

Looking for digital inspiration? Visit the activities and ideas page, which hosts lesson plans, digital tools, and resources to help incorporate technology into learning year-round. You’ll also find sites that help personalize learning and lessons to help students write book review blogs.

Digital Learning Day Live! will also be broadcasted online on Friday, March 13; in the past, this presentation has attracted as many as 40,000 viewers. You can find highlights from previous years, and video profiles of featured schools and districts.
