NAESP and the American Association of School Administrators (AASA) have finalized the agreement for AASA to purchase space at NAESP’s headquarters and for the two associations to consolidate some operational functions and resources. AASA will take co-ownership and move their offices to 1615 Duke Street in Alexandria, Virginia, in mid-November.
This agreement was set in motion last February by each organization’s Board of Directors to develop a mutually beneficial partnership aimed at strengthening each organization’s financial position and advocacy on select issues. The partnership is a “functional consolidation,” not a merger. Both organizations retain their distinct missions, memberships, governance structures, and bylaws.
