School Leadership Groups Urge “Adequate Time” to Implement Common Core Standards

NAESP leads national organizations representing local school boards, district administrators, and principals to call for a delay on punitive federal accountability sanctions as new assessment systems move ahead in states and districts, particularly related to Common Core State Standards. The Association asks policymakers to give educators and students the time that is necessary to transition into a new era of teaching and learning.

NAESP remains committed to the CCSS and to accountability for providing all students with a high-quality education. You can find a copy of the statement in our press center.
