Sign Up for Community Service Day at 2012 Convention

NAESP’s National Conference & Expo of the Year kicks off Wednesday, March 21, with the fourth annual Community Service Day.

School leaders from around the country will work together to build an inclusive playground at Hawthorne Elementary School in downtown Seattle. Sponsored by Landscape Structures, the event will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and over 100 volunteers are expected to take part. Sign up to participate on the conference registration form.

NAESP’s annual Community Service Day has been described by volunteers as one of the highlights of their convention experience. For the past three years, convention attendees have volunteered their time at local schools as a show of camaraderie and teamwork with their peers from around the country.

Last year's Community Service Day volunteers (pictured above) revamped the landscaping of Tampa's Booker T. Washington Elementary School. View a slideshow of the experience here: http://animoto.com/play/DhyLlZbkaTT6eMscuEvzyg.
